The "Impromptu" is a great gift for that musician in your family. The music themed kaleidoscope by Joane Jacobs stands a total of 4 1/2" tall when it on the base. The kaleidoscope alone is 8" long and is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" in diameter. The oil filled cell is 4" long and 1 1/8" in diameter. The front of the kaleidoscope has a music notes design and the back and the bottom is a solid black stained glass. The base is made from red iridescent stained glass. The length of the base is 5", height is 1 5/8" and the depth of the base is 2". The interior has a 3 system with a 12 point symmetry image. The "Impromptu" is signed and made in USA by the artist, Joanne Flatow-Jacobs.
