Stained Glass Kaleidoscopes, "Gemstone Sapphire" 2018-1 By Artist Sue Rioux.

The "Sapphire" Kaleidoscope is part of Sue's GemStone Collection. The exterior is stained glass and fused glass pieces that are soldered together using traditional copper foil techniques and lead free solder. The total length of the Sapphire Kaleidoscope is 6 1/2". The barrel stands 1 1/2" and is 1 1/2" wide. The cell is 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" in diameter. The interior has a 3 mirror system that looks into an oil filled cell filled with handmade glass found glass objects and dichroic glass pieces. The dichroic glass gives the images multiple rainbows of color and flashes of light while viewing. Made in the USA by Sue Rioux.
